Tell me about your vendors!

Who was the easiest to work with and who was the most difficult? Why?

Personally my biggest pet peeve with dealing with vendors has been trying to get them to take my money! -_- Never thought I would say that but I have dealt with this so much its unreal. I am in the sales background so I get you get busy and what not but I make priority to my customers if they are giving me money lol!


So far My best vendor has been my photographer and venue! They have been amazing! Both are very responsive and within a timely manner as well and have answered any and every question! My photographer has helped me so much though its unreal!

My worst so far have been transportation, lodging and now catering! With transportation definitely being the worst of the three! It took me a month and a half to book them because the lady wouldn't message me back or went on vacation for a month and conveniently no one was watching her email? Then they tried saying they never received my check even though it showed deposited. Very shady! Lodging is great except I was having issues using their payment portal and it took them literally 6 months to figure out why I was having issues (they had the wrong phone number on my file?). Now catering is driving me nuts! I messaged her to take payment a few days ago and JUST NOW ran my card finally. She told me each day she would do it and when she didn't I'd ask and she would be like "oh I have already left for the day (at 1pm when her hours are till 3). This literally happened everyday for 4 days. Finally last night she told me she would charge it this morning at 730am (of course she didn't but I just said whatever and was going to wait till monday) but she just now charged it and still hasn't provided me the receipt. I never thought it would be so hard to give people my money. lol

    I havent had any issues with my vendors. We chose to support small family owned businesses so maybe that is why they've been so laid back?
    All of my vendors have fortunately been easy to reach when necessary

    I havent had any issues with the vendors we are using. Almost all of them will either email me or text me back right away, the longest its taken for someone to respond back is probably about a day or so. we are using a small family owned catering company that FH dad suggested

    Best would be my baker shes super accomdating. The worst is my photographer we need to have a serious talk about her directing poses for pics for the wedding day

    Best vendor has been the Day of coordinator. Worse has been a tie between the ceremony venue and the reception venue aha. The ceremony venue manager is the main pastor and god he was SO UNRESPONSIVE. He's nice though. The reception for the most part was great but on the day before and day of omg they were annoying. When we went through the walk thru they said for instance my candy bar would be by wall A... So that's what I told my day of coordinator when I showed him but on the day of they friggin wouldn't let him put it where it was agreed upon and instead it was on wall B. Which I wouldn't care less what wall it is at aha but it's just annoying like... YOURE THE ONE WHO TOLD ME IT WOULD BE HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE. So it was just more for my day of coordinator to deal with

    I have not had issues with vendors, also try to understand it may take a few days for them to respond. The have multiple other weddings. 3 or 3 weddings a weeks. That makes a lot of brides.

    My vendors have become the same way when it comes to finalizing and paying. I’ve followed up with them and now have only catering, two rental companies and my venue to get back to me for details or remitting payment and I’m under a month away 🤣 I’ll get frustrated when August rolls around, but then I’ll hand it off to my DOC.

    Everyone but the venue and caterer said I can't book over a year out so I'm just sitting until October waiting. 🙄

    This I understand like I said I'm in sales I have to get back to clients and sometimes it does take a day or two but a month and a half is not normal. I should note my two vendors I've had main issues with are not wedding companies. They do weddings but it's not their main business so I get that I'll take a little bit of a back seat to their main bread and butter. But I am definitely understanding with taking a few days. My catering only bothered me cause she would communicate with me back and forth no problem just wouldn't charge my card.

    That's an odd requirement, I feel like lots of events plan more than a year out. Oof that must be frustrating

    I have luckily not had any issues with my vendors. They are super understanding and very attentive.
