Hello Kiesha C! I was wondering the same thing and made a post about it a few weeks ago. A lot of people were talking about the enamel being worn off of your teeth from the strips, that scared me a little. So I have started using baking soda and I am so impressed with the results so far.

    Here is the post:

For some reason teh whitening strips never really worked for me. Instead I use the whitening Arm & Hammer toothpaste and then they also make this gel that you put on your toothbrush with your toothpaste and it is supposed to be pretty much the same ingredient as what is on the crest white strips. Then after that I use a mouthwash that is supposed to whiten. I don't use this whitening routine everyday though because it can irritate my gums. I plan to go get mine whitened professionally before the wedding.

@Amber Thanks! I'm going to try the baking soda peroxide method someone mentioned on your thread

@Lauren, do you know the brand of the mouthwash off hand?

I have used the strips and they worked for me ...the crest strips and CVS brand are the same. Rembrant makes a mouthwash that works well too, only thing is it made my gums sore so i stopped using

I've done the whitening strips. They actually made my teeth hurt. I've found just simple, easy baking soda has done the trick. Start now by doing it once or twice a week for 2 minutes and your teeth will look amazing by the wedding. Specially since you have at least a month. Way better then leaving those chemicals on your teeth for what like... 45 minutes.

I just use Crest Vivid White toothpaste. I was at the dentist a couple weeks ago and he asked if I'd had my teeth professionally bleached. I've also used Crest whitestrips and had good experiences with them.

I have issues with super foamy toothpaste, so instead I just started Success-Professional Dental Whitening System, it uses a different chemical that the strips so doesnt make my sensitive teeth hurt. Ive only used it once for 20 minutes and noticed a difference right away!

I use the Crest whitening strips along with the toothpaste and they even make a floss to "whiten" in between your teeth. It seems to work well especially if you do the regimen a few weeks right before the wedding. Also, a tip i got was sip coffee or any staining type juice through a straw. I know its weird but it will help keep those teeth white if you do it in the couple weeks leading up to the big day Smiley smile

Melanie how long did the Crest Vivid white toothpaste take? We bought it and started 2 nights ago.
