Hey, everyone! I wanna start by saying that I don't have a problem with tattoos; however, I am a little hesitant on asking my FH's sister, who is also a good friend of mine, to be a BM because of her many tattoos. They are unable to be covered up completely by a dress. I feel like it would be...

Hey, everyone! I wanna start by saying that I don't have a problem with tattoos; however, I am a little hesitant on asking my FH's sister, who is also a good friend of mine, to be a BM because of her many tattoos. They are unable to be covered up completely by a dress. I feel like it would be different if I had tattoo sleeves but I don't and FH doesn't have any that won't be covered by the tux. I was just a little concerned about how the tattoos will look in our forever wedding photos. Should I not let tattoos help decide my BMs? Or has this been a concern for anyone else? I could get her a long sleeve dress; there would still be tattoos showing on her hands but her sleeve would be mostly covered. Thanks for taking your time to help me Smiley smile

Definitely do not let the tats sway who should be your BM. She is the same person with or without the tattoos. If the tattoos are tastefully done, I think the pictures will be beautiful. I personally have several tattoos including on my back and my dress will show off almost all my tattoos. I'm very proud of mine and they carry incredible meaning to me. So don't worry and enjoy one of the best days in your life with the people that love you the absolute most.

FH and I have 0 tattoos and most of my BMs have tattoos (back, forearms, collar bone, behind the ears, hips, etc) and IMHO some are more pleasing to the eyes than others, but NO ONE will be asked to cover anything up. My MOH actually said to me the other day that she thought about getting another tat, but that she'll wait till after the wedding. I told her that wasn't necessary, it's just a wedding and she can get tattoos whenever she wanted. She was happy with that response.

MY MOH had an entire sleeve! I think our wedding pictures turned out okay! I wouldn't let it bother you to much.

As a tattooed bride I've been asked if I'm gunna cover my tattoos for my wedding. Why would I? They are apart of who I am. Same goes for my BM. Some have tattoos and I'm not gunna force them to cover who they are.
