on my other side i have my other child's baby foot prints with his name...they are not tacky but i had family members tell me that my tattoo will make me look less elegant with my wedding dress because the back is exposed...I chose a dress that has a laced back but you wills till be able to see the tattoos...

Do you guys believe that tattoos will make me look less elegant with my wedding dress???

I think being elegant is about the person, not what is on them... your dress is beautiful and you should do what makes you feel beautiful.

my dress is strapless and i have a tattoo on the inside of my bicep which i would never consider covering... i know it isnt as readily visibly as the back - but it will proudly show as i move around and raise my arms in wedded victory! LOL.

I think it's all a matter of how YOU feel about them, not anyone else. For me, personally, my tattoos are a part of me (like you, they symbolize something very important to me) and I'll be rockin' them with pride.

If you love them I wouldn't worry about what anyone else has to say... I have butterflies on one shoulder and a series of kanji (love, hope & faith) and cherry blossom down the center of my back and I don't plan to cover them... My tattoos are part of who I am and if someone else doesn't like them its their issue.
