Target or Bed Bath & Beyond

Katie, on January 22, 2018 at 8:33 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 12
My fiancé and I are registering at Belk and were trying to decide between registering at Target or Bed, Bath, & Beyond too. Which do ya'll prefer, Target or BB&B??

BB&B. For their selection. Target cycles out of things seasonally, whereas BB&B has great household basics that will still be there in a year.

I have no idea what a Belk is. Is it like a Kohls? As much as I dislike BB&B, it would be better to register there than at Target because their items constantly change.

Belk is a department store in the south. More like a Macy's or Dillards than Kohl's.

Bed Bath and Beyond. They have more selection and stuff doesn't rotate out as much. I've also heard of guests having issues with Target registries.

We’re doing BBB (in addition to Crate and Barrel) because it’s everywhere and they always have a 20% off coupon.

I LOVE Target. But I chose to register at Bed Bath and Beyond because I feel like the quality is a little better and the selection is definitely better. If you already have a lot of home goods and kitchen appliances, you may be able to do Target and find the few things you're looking to have on the registry, but there are SO many options at BB&B that I never even would have thought of.

I did BBB because they have a bigger selection of items. I’m capable of putting a registry together on my own but I liked that BBB had someone you could make an appointment with and take you around the store.

As a guest, I'm a big fan of Bed, Bath and Beyond. They usually have free shipping and I can use their coupons which enable me to buy more and spend less! That said, I've seen couples register at a few stores so if Target has items that BB&B don't have and vice versa, that works too!

Oh wow! If only this discussion had come up before last Saturday. Went to Target and had the worst experience registering that I gave the survery at 1, yes a 1 for experience and someone contacted me from Target and asked for the store info. I wish I would have gone to BB&B but the invites have already gone out saying we were registered at Target. What's funny is BB&B was literally right next door and I put that in the complaint that I wish I would have went next door to BBA&B but the invites were already out. The scanning/registering device didnt work at Target, they then gave me another one whose battery died after 30 minutes. The reps at the desk were super non helpful. I actually teared up once I got in the aisle because I was looking for that fun, exciting experience. Sigh.

My daughter and her fiance did Target for some items, but then ended up going also to Bed, Bath & Beyond, because they had better dishes. It does seem to be true that some items on Target keep going out of stock.

They did a wedding website, so it was easy to link more than one registry on there.
