Tan lines!!

Madalyn, on September 24, 2010 at 3:28 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 16

So a few weeks ago I went to the beach and got burned. I aloed the crap out of my skin and it's all done peeling. The only problem is it left lines (had a halter bikini top) right on my chest. Had my first alterations yesterday and the lines pop on my skin. How do I even out my skin without going tanning again or fake tanning (I'm naturally very pale)! Help! My wedding is in 44 days!!

You have time, i would lay out a few days a week and put sunblock where you are already are tan and let it do its thing. i spray tan people and know it would work if you did that. maybe do it soon so you have time to play so you know what to expect when the wedding comes.

I'm having the same issue, only I'm pregnant so going to a tanning bed is non-option! I'm afraid a spray tan will rub off on the dress!

See, I just don't usually tan (since I burn way to easily). Is there any creams that people suggest? Maybe?

Have you tried airbrush makeup? I had a trial with it and it didn't rub off or smear once it was set.

I am a pretty pale girl myself and every time I have gotten a spray I feel orange. Also the spray tan did not get rid of my lines b/c it made everything a shade darker and not matching!

I do not suggest spray tan b/c of my bad experiences

I had this same question because I have some funky tan lines and even this fall/winter I can't avoid get strap lines because it's always sunny here and I'm pretty pale. I think maybe the only thing that would work is airbrush makeup.

I would try using some self tanning lotion...maybe start on just where the lines are to help blend it all in.

I've used a exfoliating body scrub before to get rid of the tan/burn. I'm also naturally pale. It worked eventually.

@T&J that means I only have 42 eep!! SO EXCITED!!

The best way to get rid of the Tan Lines with out having to lay out in the sun and risk getting burned again is Custom Airbrush Tanning, It's done by a person NOT a booth and that way they can spray the areas that need to be sprayed to match the rest of your skin color. You have to go to some one who knows what they are doing so you can get a good cover-up and a good color! Depending on when your wedding is it's best to have a Trial Run with your spray tan tech. first to make sure you like the color and how it truns out--Check out our website for more info on Spray Tanning....If your in our service area we would be more than happy to help! www.ocsunlesssolutions.com

    Good Luck!!!

Try the jergens natural glow lotion, it works and goes on even without a orange color.

Sweetie, relax, 44 days is plenty of time for the burn to fade. I went to FL in May and my sister's wedding was one month following my severe burn from the beach. By that time it had faded almost completely and powder will overcome! No Worries! (I am VERY pale, too, white as white can be!)
