Tall, low, or mixed centerpieces?

In the past I've always loved tall centerpieces - I think they can be dramatic (in a good way) and they can really transform a room. I thought I had decided that I wanted a mix of tall and short floral centerpieces, to give the room dimension and save a teensy-tiny bit of money over doing them all...

Now i'm starting to change my mind in favor of all low centerpieces....what do you guys think?

I greatly prefer low - not just because high ones are hard to talk over, they also almost always look a bit dated to me. I've just so rarely seen ones that don't look "try-hard," which is something I'm personally trying (lol) to avoid.

A mixture is a good thing, because it gives you dimension . Make sure that the tall ones though still allow people to visit.

I like the shorter ones, tall ones do block peoples views and that can be frustrating

I like shorter centerpieces. I think they create a more intimate atmosphere--and it's easier to see the people across from you. From the perspective of a short girl. Smiley smile

I like the look of some of the tall ones just not the logistics of them on the guests tables. I have a thing that I need to see the person I am talking to.

Mix - but any tall ones need to be thin for the reason many have already mentioned (not being able to see people across the table). Thin is tough to do with tall ones since that generally equals it being less stable.

I LOOOOOVEEEE tall centerpieces. I have never been "wowed" by a short centerpiece. Tall centerpieces do not block the view of the people across from you (if your florist knows anything about anything). We did a mix of tall and short -- mostly to have money haha but it does add a nice visual to the room, I think!

Our florist really recommended tall & low; something about adding dimension to the room yadda yadda. But I do not like tall centerpieces so we opted for all low.

shortly after we did our florist consultation we attended a wedding with tall centerpieces and we couldn't see the other half of the table and my FH turned to me and said he was so happy with our decision for low.

I agree tall ones can look more extravagant, but I'd be more concerned with whether guests can see each other from underneath them. We're going with different styles of low centerpieces. Some ideas from our florist were single centerpieces, ones with floating candles and flowers, and clusters of mini vases with similar flowers and matching candle votive holders.

Mix it up. I'm doing tall on every other table and short on the others. It really looks good together

Hello! i love your idea! I'm looking for a good ratio of centerpieces for 300 guests. do you mind telling me how you split between tall and low centerpieces? some tables Id have candles too. but I'm trying to determine a good ratio for it all! because high centerpieces are so expensive! thank you ❤️
