Table set up/center Piece suggestion.... Dried grass or something else?

So, this was the trial run of my tablecloths and centerpieces. We're doing a rustic/shabby chic theme (& not because its "in" but because its what Ive always wanted since I was about 12). My question is, does the dried grass look ok? Or no? If not, any suggestions of what I could put in the pink...
So, this was the trial run of my tablecloths and centerpieces. We're doing a rustic/shabby chic theme (& not because its "in" but because its what Ive always wanted since I was about 12).

My question is, does the dried grass look ok? Or no? If not, any suggestions of what I could put in the pink milk jars? We will have candles in the small milk glass votives.

    Maybe cotton stems would look nice? Cotton is what I immediately think of when I think of shabby chic plants.

    Definitely something lighter in color (love the idea of wheat), taller, and not as tightly packed. You've got the chic part, now you need the rustic element.
