Table Number 13...

I'm not superstitious I plan on using #13

FH's "lucky number" is 13. He'd love it if I assigned our table to be #13!

I probably won't need that many tables, but 13 is my Mom's lucky number, so if I do, that can be her table

I've been a guest to weddings that had a table #13. No big deal.

I've actually been in luxury, high-rise residential buildings that don't have a thirteenth floor. The elevator goes from 12 to 14. I asked why. I was told that many people do not want to buy an apartment on the thirteenth floor.

It absolutely blows my mind that people ascribe luck to a number. So silly.

Most high-rise buildings I have been in don't have a 13th floor, which I always find ridiculous because obviously they do it has just been labeled as 14. It never occurred to me to think about this for table numbers. I'm going to a wedding next weekend, I'll have to see if they use it.

I never thought to not include it... But I know Hotels that had over 13 floors would often skip the number. Idk...

Considering the fact that my brother and his wife got married during 2013 (and FH and I got engaged in 2013), I don't see it as bad luck at all. I don't plan on skipping it. I didn't even know people do!
