Table Names?

Are you guys doing anything fun for naming your tables? We're naming each one after a band we've seen together, and using album art in the seating chart. I'm super excited about it! It's also a great way to get more of our relationship into the day since live music is such a big part of our lives....

For our local 50’s/60’s swanky reception, we did era singers too: Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, Peggy Lee, etc. My hubby printed 5x7 black & white photos of each singer with his/her name at work and bought black frames at the Dollar Store. 🎼

I'm on a bit of the nerd side and making my wedding themed around Fire Emblem. So far I'm stuck between theming them around each game, or the countries of one particular game, or the different groups/colors from the trading card game (blue/red/yellow/purple/white/black/clear)

I saw this nice post on reddit where somebody did Final Fantasy numbers! Wish it were that simple for my franchise!

First of all, I LOVE your idea. Super creative!

For me and my FH, it is a blend of cultures. I'm black, he's Thai and we met in South Korea. So our table "numbers" are actually going to be cities in South Korea that we've visited. Our escort card holders are going to be elephants (elephants are good luck in the Thai culture Smiley smile ).

We will be doing Disney tables! For example the Aladdin table will say a quote of now I’m in a whole new world with you. We have pictures for each table with silhouettes of the characters.

Ours are named after a major city in various countries and on the bottom of each is how to say cheers in that country/language!

We used our favourite authors. Wedding was book themed and our centrepieces were piles of our favourite books, which then doubled as favours as we invited people to take them home with them. I think I had three books left out of about 80 so we did OK! I did pick carefully as to which books went on which tables, trying to figure out what individuals would enjoy, and several people have mentioned that they've discovered new authors they love from the book they took home, which I love Smiley smile

We're doing something similar...but I expect (and hope) to take our books home at the end of the night haha. Each centerpiece is going to be 3-4 books from one author, a small floral arrangement, and some empty bourbon bottles with fairy lights (we're getting married in a distillery). I'm really excited to see them all put together!

Were naming the tables after places we’ve been together (Toronto, St. Michaels, MD/engagement spot, wildwood,nj) they’re not all super exciting but I’m using pictures of us for the centerpiece. Hoping to add a personal touch to the space.

We are doing a Disney theme and the tables will be our favorite rides in the park, with the place cards being fast passes for the corresponding ride.

We are big beer people and are getting married in a historic brewery, so we are naming each table after breweries in IL (where I'm from), NJ (where he's from), and WI (where we live now).

The centerpieces are actually going to be growlers from each brewery Smiley smile

What a cute idea! Instead of table numbers we're doing chapters and each chapter will have a fun fact about us and for the place cards, were doing little books

Ours wasn't really special all things considered. They were simply a part of the centerpiece.

    OP I love this idea.

I wasn't planning on it. If only like 50 people RSVP we will won't assign tables. If closer to 70 RSVP we will have to. Our venue has a dozen picnic tables for us to use. I ordered some table numbers off Etsy. They are printed to look like faux copper foil. I think we will do assigned tables but not assigned seats.
