Symbolic Ceremony- Videographer or Not?

Sarah, on January 15, 2020 at 5:45 PM Posted in Planning 0 3
I’m having a symbolic wedding in Positano, Italy since I live in Europe now (some costs are cheaper due to our proximity). I’m already legally
married. There ceremony will be my husband & & MAYBE 4 family members.

I’m having florals, a musician for an hour, photographer, hair/makeup, officiant, but haven’t decided if a videographer is worth it?
Many costs I wouldn’t hesitate on for a full wedding with guests, but because it’s not a party all night long traditionally, I wonder if there’s a lot worth capturing? Planning on photos before ceremony, ceremony, dinner after & a first dance. I don’t imagine even if my family comes, we’ll be up all night.
If you had/have an elopement or symbolic ceremony, something quieter & with few people or none- did you have or plan to get a videographer? Insight on if it was worth it or not.

I am doing something similar well but local but since various family members won't be present I am hoping FH won't mind the videography because they say that could be nice not only for you but those that will not be in attendance at the wedding. If you can afford it why not?

I think hiring one for an hour or two is worth it!

Hey there. Personally, I would want a videographer. It's a very special day and everything goes by in a flash. I would love to have a video of the day to remember the day in the future. There is something wonderful about having the emotions of the day captured, regardless of the size of the wedding!
I would recommend doing a pros and cons list of having one. This may help you and your SO get some clarity and make a decision Smiley smile
