Sweetheart table?

Lena, on January 8, 2020 at 9:18 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 1 30

Are you ladies/gents doing a sweetheart table? I like the idea but at the same time would love to sit at a table with our families. Thanks in advance! Smiley smile

We're doing a sweetheart table! I figured it would be nice to be just the two of us even if it's just while eating, since the rest of the wedding we'll be with other people nonstop lol

Thanks! That's the only reason I like the idea. Are you facing the dance floor or your guests?

We loved ours. We really didn’t spend very much time there, but when we did it was nice to have a place to go where we could step back and just be alone together for a minute and look around the room and really take it all in Smiley smile

Our dance floor was in the center of the room and our guests’ tables were on either side of it, so we sat basically on the dance floor, with our guests to the left and right of us

Both? Lol we'll have tables with our immediately family to our left and right, the dance floor out in front of us, and then tables with more guests on the other side of the dance floor. Aside from having just a moment "alone" together, it also would've been way too complicated to figure out who we would have at our table since FH's parents are divorced and would not be willing to sit at the same table Smiley atonished

We ended up doing a sweetheart table so we could have a few minutes alone to eat. We really didn’t spend much time there at all so in hind sight it didn’t really matter.

We had a sweetheart table. We wanted time to ourselves so we could enjoy without a bunch of people surrounding us. After we got done eating we walked around to each table to mingle with our guests.

We're doing a sweetheart table! I, initially, wanted to do a King's Table with all of our bridal party & their families as my old roommate did this, and I loved it. When ended up deciding on a sweetheart table to conserve space, but I'm excited to have a few minutes alone! We'll be in the middle of the room (between the guests and food tables) facing the guests. The room next door will be where the dance floor is (we're flipping the ceremony space into the dancing & photo booth space).

We had a sweetheart table. I can have dinner with my friends and family any time, my wife and I only had one first meal together as a married couple and we wanted to enjoy it. We also wanted our bridal party to be able to sit with their dates.

We are! All of our bridal party have significant others and we really don't want to separate them at dinner. Plus I like the look of a sweetheart table compared to a big head table.

I was doing wedding party rectangle tables but now we're doing sweetheart table. Because I've been a +1 to my fh being a groomsmen twice and i had to sit lonely the entire time because he had wedding party stuff to do. So a sweetheart table it is.

We are. We aren’t having anyone stand up with us, so we won’t have the traditional head table. Just our sweetheart table & then everyone else will be at theirs. I considered just having us sit with my parents to eat, but we thought it would be nice to have somewhere for just the two of us. Smiley smile
