Sweetheart Table? Or Bridal Party Table?

Are you doing a sweetheart table or a table for your whole bridal party? I'm curious if the bridal party table is a thing still. And if you're doing a bridal party table, how are you seating the bridal party plus ones?

We are doing a sweetheart table. I never liked head tables, but all of the ones I've seen have split up the bridal party from their SO if they had one, and that's just a miserable time. My FH's sister's wedding had a head table and we were all split up from our SOs in the wedding party. Luckily at that one I had his brothers-in-law with me, but we had only been dating a few months so it was a little uncomfortable. Other ones where I've had to sit at a head table I've opted not to bring someone with me because I didn't want them sitting alone. However, it sounds like more people these days are allowing the SOs to sit with the bridal party, and in that case I think it's totally fine.

I’m doing a head table. The bridal party and their partners will all be seated at the head table.

Are everyone's parents together, lol? I have heard the sweethearts table can be good for that so one gets annoyed at the bride and groom sitting with "them" and not us.

Depends on how many people in the wedding party have spouses or dates.

Our whole reception was 50-ish people, and we only had two long tables, no attendants, so people sat wherever. It was a chill vibe, lol.

    Best wishes! Smiley heart

We're doing a Head Table, well I guess its called a King's Table because we're including the Bridal Party's Plus Ones. We prefer to be by our friends than by ourselves and everyone in our bridal party are best friends with each other so it just makes sense for us. Like the PP stated, we're just doing a long table with us seated in the middle and my MOH by me with his Best Man by him.

I'm debating this too. I like the intimacy of the sweet heart's table, but don't want the spotlight/focus that it brings. I've thought about doing a "family" table where we would sit with our parents & siblings, but the bridal party can sit where ever. If we do a "head" table, we will likely go with Milada's King's table approach so that we don't separate SOs. I agree that it would be incredibly awkward to go to a wedding and not get to sit at dinner with my FH.

We're doing a bridal party table. Plus ones of the party members will be seated nearby.

We are having a large bridal party table. Unfortunately due to the venue rental requirements we could not get a small table to do a sweetheart table and I didn’t want us to sit alone at a 8 person table. So we’re doing 2 8ft rectangular tables put together with us in the middle. We have 1 couple in the bridal party and then I’m having the spouses/+1’s just sit with us. They will kind of have their backs to the room, but I don’t expect everyone to be sitting that long, and everyone agreed they would rather sit with their significant others.

    Sweetheart table

I absolutely hate when FH and I are seated separately because of a head table, so we skipped the whole thing

We are doing a sweetheart table for many of the reasons already mentioned. I don't want to separate anyone and selfishly would like to be alone a little with the hubby lol Congratulations to you and everyone getting married this year. Smiley heart
