Sweetheart Table Centerpiece Ideas

Lauren, on June 25, 2019 at 5:07 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 13

Hi! FH & I just decided to do a sweetheart table last week. We want decorations that will make our table stand out from the rest. These are the centerpieces and votives we got for all the "regular" tables (we'll have navy table runners, gold chargers, and maybe some greenery on them as well). What are yall doing to make your table stand out from all the others? I want a rose gold table cloth over our table, but that's the only decision I've made so far! I may add tall candle holders and Mr. & Mrs. signs too, but I'm not sure.

Our sweetheart table will be a 6' banquet table, guest tables will be farmhouse style long banquet tables all connected. Guest tables will have white linens & napkins. Sweetheart table will have light blue linens & napkins. Guest tables will have white padded folding chairs, sweetheart table will have gold chiavari chairs with ivory cushions. I got two tall candle sticks we will put candles on, and we will have greenery in front of the table. Then I have "Mr & Mrs" blocks to put on the table! And obviously our special champagne glasses haha!

Daughter's ceremony arch had a large floral piece at the top center of the arch and then two smaller floral pieces on either side. After the ceremony, the florist removed all three. The large piece became the focal point of the sweetheart table decorations (it was lovey, and quite impressive, so it was nice for it to do double-duty). Daughter had ~ 8" gold glitter covered letters that lit up with small light bulbs for their initials (e.g., K & J) and the florist put those in front of the floral piece. Their table was a 60" half-round, so that was more than enough. She also selected a specialty tablecloth that had a lot of texture & detail to it. The table definitely stood out and was a beautiful focal point in the room, but wasn't over-the-top.

I'm still deciding, but I know i'm going to have a wooden "Mr. & Mrs" on it, along with the same candles the other tables have. Just deciding on if it's going to be on a bigger scale

I gave this picture to the florist. The difference is I’m having lanterns instead which will be on tree stumps which will also be used for our ceremony.

I'm trying to talk my fh into a sweetheart table because our bridal party is so small. I love your ideas so far!

I’ll do a low centerpiece so is different from the others and people are able to look at you guys. I had rectangular tables and round tables so I did two different centerpieces. For our table which was rectangular we had a complete different arrangement but we had all the flowers that were added to the others tables to kind of blend them. I also had different candles but the plate setting was the same.

That is a beautiful idea. The colors are pretty and they stand out. We are using ballet, cream, royal blue and rose gold.

My MOH purchased this for us (it is the first letter of my fiance's and my soon to be new last name). Our florist also provides vases for the bouquets so I will use mine as part of our sweet heart table decor and we got a small personalized wood round (below). We also have crystal champagne flutes that my FMIL got for us and they will stand out from the other glassware. Friends of ours had a sign that said something like "Mr. and Mrs. (Last name) est. (Wedding date)" and propped it against the front of theirs.

I love this!!! It's so pretty! I've seen other pictures where candles are in front of the table and may have to do that. Smiley smile

This is nice. Ours will be small like that. I thought about just nicer linens and runners. I'm worried about having too much on a small table and not having enough room for plates and cups. I'm also thinking about having a bell there to replace my family's tradition of constantly dinging the china for attention or to get the bride and groom to kiss.
