I swore I would never do a strapless dress but what did I fall in love with? Of course a strapless dress. It also has a bit of a severe sweetheart neckline and I'm concerned the seamstress isn't going to be able to correct it much. Have any brides had any luck making their sweetheart neckline more modest? The cleavage isn't out of control yet but I haven't had any alterations done. I'm a D cup and when I first put on my dress with a bra my mother about fainted. Of course the sample size was 5 sizes too big so this wasn't an issue when I picked it out. Removing the bra helped the situation but I will need to have some kind of support added and I'm worried it will be like whoooooa all over again. If the neckline can't be fully toned down I've thought about doing a lace topper. Tricky part is finding a lace that will match my blush dress with ivory lace overlay. I've seen lots of posts about Tulip and Etsy. Any feedback from brides that purchased toppers from either store?

I was talking to my seamstress about adding lace straps to my dress, and she said that in order to match the lace on my dress, she suggested that I contact the designer of the dress with the style number and I can order some of the same lace. this may be a consideration for you if you decide to add to the top.

That dress is beautiful! The seamstress should be able to make it a bit more modest. Maybe you could add some extra lace to the sweetheart to make it more of an illusion
