Sweetheart neckline vs. no sweetheart neckline **PICS INCLUDED**

elle, on May 9, 2012 at 7:08 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 22

Here are two photos of my dress. One with the original scalloped neckline and one with a sweetheart neckline. I do know that it will cost me a pretty penny to have done, but i am okay with that. Which do you like better? (The sweetheart here was just gathered, i will have the lace removed and then redone for a more polished finish). I am in neither of the picutres, but my shape is more like the bride w/ the sweetheart.

If you have a larger bust then I'd do the sweetheart. Otherwise, I'd keep the scalloped.

I'm a fan of sweetheart necklines, but the scalloped on the dress looks really nice too, at least on the model. It's hard not seeing it on you though. I think overall though that a sweetheart is more flattering on a more busty girl than the scalloped would be. So it depends on how blessed you are up top.

I have to admit, I love them BOTH! BUT, I'm leaning more towards dress #1. Good luck they're both gorgeous.

I do have a bigger bust and a small waist. It will still be scalloped if it becomes a sweetheart. Here is a link to see the differnt things I can do with it. I appriciate the comments and help.

I love this dress! It was the 1st one I tried on after hunting it down in my area. I too really wanted a different neckline since the current line seemed very straight for my body type. I am petite with a C chest and thought it looked too plain for me. I thought about having it altered to be a sweetheart, but then ended up choosing Katharine (Sottero & Midgley) instead. I was afraid to risk changing the dress too much or having someone mess it up. I think the sweetheart looks great for our body type. The dress definitely didn't look the same as it did on the model.

That is my dress too Smiley smile I am going with a sweetheart neckline. I have a larger bust and I know it will look better on me that way- but both ways are absolutely gorgeous for the dress!

I personally do not like sweetheart necklines, so I would go with the first one. I think the scalloped neckline follows the flow of the lacy pattern.

I like the scalloped one better, too. I think it's flattering and classic.
