Sweating the day of

Mrs. S, on June 22, 2020 at 5:41 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 32
If you sweat a lot like me, how are you planning to make the big day ‘cool’? My dress is mermaid with a huge bottom and even trying it on I sweat in my legs and I just worry day of how to keep cool and diminish sweating other than baby powder? Big day 9/12/2020 so weather is up in the air

This certain dri deodorant is a life saver. I sweat a lot and hate it. And you put this on the night before and don’t sweat all day where ever you put it. And I’ll put it on the night before a hard workout and at the end I’m barely even sweating it’s amazing!! Here’s the link

I’m using Botox under my armpits so I don’t run the risk of ruining my dress.

Lol yeah, it’s really not bad at all it only goes a little bit under the surface but if you’re afraid of needles they have to stick it multiple times LOL so that would not be good. I also tried Miradry which cost an arm and a leg, but I didn’t have any promising results with it.

Omg I actually use this!! I used to be sooo bad and even scents would make the smell worse so I started using the certain dri and my armpits have really been better and no smell anymore! & was told you can put it on your palms and soles of feet too, it my problem is my thighs and legs. I have high waste shorts set for under the dress so my thighs don’t rub but it didn’t do much in the short time I was wearing the dress at my fitting today so I’m like freaking out. I feel like I should have cool packs under my dress somehow glued in 😂😫 at a loss here

I sweat a lot too sometimes just sitting in a warm place ha ha. Here is something I found: https://www.marthastewartweddings.com/618777/bride-approved-deodorants?slide=a86d1253-5f4e-4460-983c-4bfbd3ba94fd%3Futm_source%3Dpinterest.com&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=social-share-gallery&utm_content=20200613

Plus I purchased boy short shape wear to avoid possible chaffing but there are longer knee length and I am purchasing vagisil wipes too to freshen up. I am in Florida and even in November weather is unpredictable. I may wear a panty liner too just for extra dryness below (sorry if graphic). Best of luck. Smiley smile

LOL I am sure snow would be miserable but at least my pores would be too frozen to sweat ha ha. I am still doing more research. I know I am getting airbrush make up (more money but oh well) because it holds up better with sweat. May not be a bad idea to keep ice packs near while taking pics. I sweat walking to the car in the summer heat so it sucks doing anything bridal related attire during this time ha ha ha. Oh and I think I read drinking water but maybe I am wrong. I will add you as a friend and if I see or hear anything else I will share.

I would certainly take the snow to avoid sweating😂 I sweat all the time too! I’m so used to it but I don’t want to be a swamp the day of lmao. I was thinking of the airbrush too, and those rice pads (I think you dab your face and they take the sweat glisten off without taking makeup). Hope fully those help! Drinking ice water and keeping cool packs close can only be of help I’m sure! Sept here could be cool or blazing hot it’s hit or miss lol but yes we are friends! I’ll keep my eyes peeled too if I see any more!!🥰

Awesome and I understand you. For some reason my arm pits sweat even if in the car with the AC blasting and I don't know why. I may have to take the tip of under arm botox ha ha. @Rebecca

I'm a person that is always sweating due to alwaysbeing warm, even in a blizzard. The best solution is botox where your problem areas are. For legs my aunt made leggings with cool tech (the ones that you and water then ring out) that if I got to warm again my amazing sis would cool again which happened only once.

It’s tricky! I was sweating bullets the other day when I was merely trying my dress on. Granted it was 60-70 degrees in my bedroom but still.

The undergarments made a difference. Once I put on my honeylove briefs, they absorbed the sweat I was experiencing underneath my dress lol. However I am thinking about deodorant, body spray, etc.

Since I use just about all natural deodorants on a regular basis, I did a little research and found this roll-on which has good reviews.

    https://www.amazon.com/nasanta-Magnesium-Deodorant-Women-Australian/dp/B014J2GEC2

And this body spray which is also an antiperspirant.

My main concern is smelling like BO by the end of the ceremony.

It won’t help you during the ceremony, but at your reception bring a small fan to put under your table so you don’t get too hot. I’ve had a lot of people recommend this to me because they’ve done it and it’s been a big help in at least cooling down while you eat. I know it doesn’t help with dryness if you’re already sweating but it could at least keep the sweating levels down!
