Sweat heart table - what side do we sit ?

Lindsey, on April 3, 2018 at 11:33 AM Posted in Planning 0 14
I am working on some of the floor plan. I am not sure what side, online I’m getting mixed reviews.
Would I be closer to table 1 or table 2

I don't think there is any universe in which it matters what side of the table you sit on unless one of you is left-handed and the other is right.

Sit whatever side you want, it really doesn't matter.

I agree with Anna. I sat on the left side of our table because my family was at the table to our left. H sat on the right side of our table because his family was at the table to his left. We filled in the rest of our tables based on what side they were coming from.

This doesn’t matter at all, unless like Anna mentioned, one of you is left-handed. I am left-handed but our sweetheart table was actually big enough where it didn’t matter. We sat far enough apart while eating and moved our chairs closer together during toasts and in between courses.

Great point about being left handed. I am so I have to sit to the left facing guests. But I don't think there is proper seating. Unless I am wrong.

We have our table in a line with us in the middle and bridesmaids and groomsmen to each side.

It does not matter in the slightest, although you might want to take into consideration which hand you eat with. I'm a righty and my H is a lefty, and he sat to my right, so we were bumping elbows trying to eat lol. We should've switched sides. But as far as there being a correct "bride's side" or "groom's side", there is none. Sit wherever.

You sit facing your guests. We had wedding party with their guest at 2 tables on either side so we had a groomsmen tables on one side my husband sat on that side and the bridesmaids and guests on the table on the other side so I sat closer to them.
In all honesty it doesn’t matter you both should just sit side by side facing your guests.

We sat facing our guests; the tables were kind of zig zagged in front of us. I sat on the right, I think.

I don't think it matters. But my mom picked for our family to sit on the right side so that's where I will be sitting Smiley smile

It doesn't matter. H and I just sat, we put 0 thought into it because we were married and hungry.

Our table was close to like table 2 (just married one). We were facing our guests and the back of the chairs read "bride" & "groom" so that's the order we were sitting... I did not want it to read "groom" & "bride" and that's why we didn't sit like table 1 (in your pic). To me "bride and groom" just sounds more flowy than "groom and bride"...
