I can't quite believe I pulled this one off. I'm the absolute worst secret keeper ever and it really tested my willpower to hold this one in for so long. I had approached my best friend's boyfriend a few months before my wedding (I knew he was planning to propose this year) and offered up my idea of doing it at my bouquet toss. I'd seen all of the videos on social media of this exact situation, and honestly, until then had always wondered why a bride would ever consider giving up the spotlight on her big day. Well, now I know.
It was such a special moment in our friendship. Her hair and makeup were perfect (she was maid of honor), the photographer was there to take pictures for them (free since we'd already paid her to be there) and the DJ played their favorite song for them to dance to afterwards. It was absolutely beautiful. AND now I get to go from a bride to maid of honor!
