Ok i have been looking at venues; I find one that is going to work and we start talking about setting it up. I tell her it's next year, (2018) she says ok let's get u in the computer.. then she looks at me and says , that date is on a Sunday. We hardly ever have a wedding on a Sunday... that's the only mutual day off more than half the ppl that will be there have off. So my question is how many of you have had a wedding on a Sunday. The date is kinda special to us that's why we picked it...

I'm having a Sunday wedding, but it's on a holiday weekend where the Monday is off (Columbus Day, so not a major holiday). In our case, the most important thing was accommodating our families to come out and having the day off (for schools/military) was more important than anything else.

My wedding is on a Sunday because it was the only day my dream venue had available. We are starting at 3:30 and ending at 9:30. Half the guest list is OOT. We're so excited and no one has complained (at least to my face lol)

I agree with FutureMrsB - "know your crowd." My crowd parties hard so a Sunday wouldn't work for us. Both times I was invited to a Sunday wedding it was 3-4 hours away so it was kind of pain. But I say this as someone who is getting married on a Friday evening. Smiley smile I recommend checking with your VIPs that they can attend a Sunday wedding.

If my crowd wasn't so rowdy I would have totally considered a Sunday brunch wedding! Strawberry waffles, omelettes, mimosas.. YUM!

I've never been to a Sunday wedding but it would be kind of neat to go to a Sunday brunch wedding!

I am having a Sunday wedding, but I am Jewish so most Saturday's are out because we have to wait for Sabbath to end.

My boss is Christian and she had a Sunday wedding. I think hers was 3-9 or something like that. So dinner was served around 5. She said everyone was dancing the whole time ( I've seen the wedding pics to prove it).

I got married on a Sunday. We weren't concerned with a huge party vibe so it worked great for us.

I'm having a Sunday wedding and we moved the ceremony to 430pm so the reception ends by 9 the latest. It's a Dw for everyone but FH and I so people will have to still take off work, but close friends in the area can still work the next day or family can travel out early on Monday

We discussed a Sunday wedding, but only if it would fall on a holiday weekend (labor day, memorial day) so people wouldn't have to go to work the next day. Ultimately decided against it so we wouldn't have to listen to family members complain they were missing so-and-so's annual bbq (this actually happened when my FSIL announced her wedding date)

Mine is for a Sunday. Friends and family out of state are excited too since they won't be hitting all the traffic in or out.

One of my best girlfriends had her wedding on a Sunday because it was the same day she got engaged on two years prior. I think it all worked out totally fine. OOT guests could come in Saturday and leave Monday if they want, as opposed to Friday and Sunday. Either way they'd have to take a day off more than likely.

The only thing about a Sunday is you'll have be mindful of the reception end time for your in town guests, or be aware that a lot of people will leave early to go to bed on time for the next day.

Im get married the Sunday before Memorial Day. So people still have the next day off but due to budget, I still would have chosen a Sunday and whoever really wants to be there will.

I'm getting married on a Sunday. It was $6k cheaper than a Saturday. Lol. But my wedding is from 2-8. I know ppl have to go to work Monday so I wanted to make sure I ended it early enough for ppl to get home at decent hour to get rest before work the next morning.

I'm having a Sunday afternoon wedding. (2-7) We're both more than ok with a laid back vibe and people not being able to make it. We already checked the date with our absolutely must be theres and that's what I'd suggest you do as well.

I'm having a Sunday daytime wedding (starting in the AM) and our ceremony and reception are at the same place - we are renting out a beautiful restaurant for the whole day. I never worried about Sunday being a church-going day as I'm Jewish and Saturday is when my parents go to synagogue, but my wedding will be interfaith as my fiance is Greek. If guests are so religious that it being on a Sunday bothers them, they probably won't approve of our wedding/marriage anyway.

We had a Sunday evening wedding simply because it was a HUGE difference in price- like $50 pp difference & everyone was local. I had some cousins with small children who did not come, and a few co-workers left a little early. Other than that we still had 200 people partying until 11pm.

I am having a Sunday wedding. My friends/family don't live too far from the venue however my fiance's are an hour and a half away without traffic (and would need to travel through NYC) so Friday was out due to rush hour and Saturdays weren't available.

We are wedding date twins! Our wedding will be on a Sunday due to religious reasons (we are Jewish, so we can't get married on a Friday evening, or a Saturday until after sundown) and we wanted to have a mid-afternoon wedding. We plan on having the wedding at 2pm and be done with everything by 7, so people will not be out too late. Then we are having an after party at a local bar for friends that want to stick around. Everyone seems to like the idea so far.
