Ok i have been looking at venues; I find one that is going to work and we start talking about setting it up. Ok i have been looking at venues; I find one that is going to work and we start talking about setting it up. I tell her it's next year, (2018) she says ok let's get u in the computer.. then she looks at me and says , that date is on a Sunday. We hardly ever have a wedding on a Sunday... that's the only mutual day off more than half the ppl that will be there have off. So my question is how many of you have had a wedding on a Sunday. The date is kinda special to us that's why we picked it...

I'm having a Sunday wedding ... it works best for most our guests schedules ... I don't see anything wrong with it

I have to agree with the UO of @Erica. If I were local, I would be annoyed. Sundays are my cleaning/grocery shopping/meal prep/Netflix day. If I have must do plans on Sunday it throws off my week completely. If I were out of town it wouldn't bother me because I would have to take off a day or two anyways.

I had a Sunday wedding, and everyone loved it. I am also attending my bff's wedding in April, which is also on a Sunday.

We're having a Sunday wedding, but I agree with PP. Choosing a Sunday wedding is a lot like having an adult only reception, it doesn't break etiquette but you have to be understanding if guests leave early or can't come. We'll be ending around 10:30, but my family are partiers, if not we'd probably end around 9/9:30.

Quite honestly, a Sunday brunch wedding is my favourite kind of wedding! No issues on a Sunday night wedding either, as long as it isn't super late.

My wedding is on a Sunday. We chested though - it's Labor Day weekend and barely anyone works that day.

Our Sunday wedding in March 2017 will be a 12:30 Mass (which fulfills the Sunday obligation for practicing Catholics), followed by a 2-5 pm afternoon tea. The venue costs less, champagne only lowers the alcohol tab, and everyone gets home reasonably early. We have an older, completely local demographic, but think this option will work well for us.

I think this is one of those "know your crowd" things. It wouldn't work in my circle at all, because for a lot of my family Sunday is a work day (lots of preachers, with a church organist thrown in), so they'd have to take off work to come to the wedding. But I'm not against them in principle.

I just want to point out that a wedding ANY day kind of throws off your typical schedule. I drink wine and act like a bum on Friday nights, and grocery shop and clean my house on Saturdays. A wedding invitation for either one of those days isn't going to annoy me because it breaks up my routine.

We are having a Sunday wedding. Starting at 1pm and wrapping up around 8pm. The venue was discounted that is why we went with Sunday. The only thing I didn't consider is my getting ready time. Being able to find a MUA and hairstylist. So we'll see what happens!

I'm not upset if I'm invited to a Sunday wedding by any means, but I have a strong preference for Saturday (and most guests probably do). My #1 concern in choosing a date was it being a Saturday. I wouldn't inconvenience guests with a Sunday wedding just to have a certain date (though I would if I needed to financially).

If you do choose to do the Sunday, know that EVERY single venue I went to has a lower minimum or cost for Sundays. Don't let them charge you the Saturday cost/minimum if there's a special deal for Sundays!

We are having a Sunday wedding. Our reception will be ending at 8pm or 9pm because people have work and school the next day! Personally, we chose Sunday for the price! So much more affordable!

My wedding is going to be on a Sunday and nobody has said anything about it. It's going to be 3pm-8pm for people who go to church and for people who have to be up early for work the next day.

Mine's gonna be on a Sunday. I'm super excited about it. It wouldn't matter if it were a Wednesday!

My wedding is on a Sunday, 14 hours away. My best friend got married on a Thursday, 4 hours away. Those who matter will be there. I would just confirm with your VIPS, the people you could just not imagine your day without- really, just parents and grandparents.

I haven't been to a Sunday wedding! But I would be more then happy to go to one! I might leave early for work the next day but it wouldn't be significantly earlier.

We're getting married in a Thursday. The venue was half price and the few OOT guests we have, we asked if they'd be okay. They're more then excited and wanting to plan a vacation around it. It works well for us! Do what works for y'all!

Ours is on a Sunday and our venue needs us cleaned up and out by 11 pm, so basically a 10:30 end time. I think it will be fine!
