That's the current issue at hand. I have never been to a daytime wedding. I have always felt evening weddings are more romantic and dimmed and candles show more people drink more. Fiancé thinks nobody will show up that early anyway only the older guests lol. Isn't it much more fun to look forward to your wedding all day especially when you are not a morning person like me Smiley sad

We got married on Monday of Labor Day which is the same idea as a Sunday. We started our ceremony at noon and ended at 6. By that time people were ready to go and start traveling home. I don't think I would do a Sunday evening unless your guests are all super local.

It sounds like you prefer a evening wedding. If so, then I think that's what you should have. Smiley smile

I absolutely LOVE seeing pictures of weddings in the morning! They look gorgeous. People incorporate like waffle trucks, mimosa bars, etc. They look very romantic and very intimate!

Our ceremony starts at 4:30 on Sunday. It's outside, so we wanted the light for the ceremony, but it will get dark during the reception.

We are having our Sunday wedding from 5-1am. But, we are doing it over a long weekend so our traveling guests are able to attend with out missing a day of work if they chose to. We prefer a later wedding so we don't have to rush getting ready for it. I'd rather spend the day with my bm's getting pampered and prettied up while the photographer gets tons of shots if our shenanigans!

Sunday wedding here 4pm-10pm. You don't need to have a brunch wedding on a Sunday. Also Sunday morning people go to church ...

And also keep in mind the earlier your ceremony , the earlier you have to wake up for hair and makeup.

And with my 4-10 Sunday wedding I only see like 20% of guests leaving by 8:30/9...

And that "20%" would leave early on a sat night too.

Another thing , not EVERYONE works the m-f schedule , so no matter the day you choose you are likely to have people want to leave early cause they have work in morning (people work on Sundays too ) . You just can't please everyone ....

I am having a Sunday wedding, starting at 3 pm. I was a little hesitant about it at first but since I am getting married in the fall the wedding coordinator suggested this time so we could get some amazing pictures when the sun starts to set ( it will set earlier due to the time change). I don't see anything wrong with it. You can always plan something for after the wedding for guests that want to keep partying after.

I am having a Sunday wedding and the ceremony will start at 4! Our venue is a little different. It's hard to explain but it's indoor and outdoor and the outdoor section has a giant really awesome fire pit that we will be setting up a DIY s'mores bar at. With the fire I think it will be better to have a later time as I want it to be dark out for at least part of the reception! That being said it also depends on where you live and the time of year your wedding is in. What time does it get dark where you are at the time of year you will be having your wedding? The way I see it those who want to be there will be there no matter when it is.
