Summer Weddings in Louisiana?

Well, unfortunately hot, humid and stormy is the summer norm in Louisiana. Are you planning any of it outside? If so, make sure to have plenty of shade for the guests and keep your time outside brief. My venue has misting fans on their patio for summer weddings so if yours has measures in place like that, then you're perfectly fine. I went to a June wedding a few years ago that was entirely outside with little shade and it was miserable. If you're hosting indoors, then you just have to endure hell briefly from the car to indoors and then it's over lol.

We got married on Saturday and had an outdoor ceremony and mostly indoor reception. I had fans and water and the courtyard we were in was very shady. I had also rented misting fans, which worked for the temperature, but what I did not think of was the photographer. She had us turn off the misters during the ceremony, which defeated part of the purpose of having them in the first place.

Yes. Have it indoors.
Every outdoor wedding I've been to I've been miserable.
If you have it outside, have tents, and preferably a location with an indoor back up plan.
I wouldnt have a summer wedding outdoors tthough. Late October and November, yes!
