So its late and i kow it best to just call and ask. For vegan guests what could i consider providing whereas our caterer is a local bbq joint. Were doing pulled pork and smoked chicken, but my SIL IS VEGAN and my nephew is allergic to dairy pretty much the only two who have restrictions.

As for my nephew who has the dairy allergy. Hes 7 . He could maybe get away with a chicken nugget but thats depending on the day. He doesnt prefer and if he has the option wont eat meat.

I have no idea about fast food nuggets, but I know that chicken fingers have dairy in them. I would be very careful about this.

I'm vegan myself--I think it's so nice that you're trying to make extra arrangements for your vegan guests--I know they will really appreciate it!

Pasta is always an easy and safe choice--if they're a BBQ joint, maybe they have a pasta salad they can veganize? I make one with italian dressing and veganaise (vegan mayo) that is delicious. I never expect there to be vegan food at weddings and always pre-eat, but since you asked, my one recommendation is to avoid the plate of grilled vegetables. Nearly every vegan has had the experience of only eating that at a wedding and then being starving for the rest of the night.

If worse comes to worse and your caterer gives you a hard time about bringing in outside food, something they may be able to make is a rice + beans + avocado dish. Really filling and simple.

See if they make a black bean burger? I'm not sure if it's vegan but it is meat free. Pasta, salad. Stores have a section of veggie cheese that's dairy free.

I said I know nothing about fast food. I know home made chicken fingers, and ones you get in restaurants are made with dairy (eggs and milk). I've never had McDonalds and don't eat very much fast food, so yeah, I have no idea. My FH is vegan though and I am aware that you need to feed them a substantial meal. Contact a proper vegan caterer or restaurant.

Vegan here* you could do stuffed peppers with quinoa, mushrooms, tomatoes, salsa, broccoli, dried sharrie (the whole recipe is online somewhere) but I've made them before and they are filling and delicious
