Let me preface by saying I'm not a fan of "themed" weddings, so I'm using this term VERY loosely and any touches will be quite subtle (no offense to anyone have a themed wedding, it's just not for me)! Anyways, I'm a registered dietitian and FH manages a grocery store. We met working in said grocery store several years ago. Basically, food plays a bigger part of our life than most people. I'm looking for subtle touches that could kind of nod to our history and current life. I've seen centerpieces with cut up lemons or limes in the flower vase, which looks nice but I'm not sold on it yet. I've also thought of using a bouquet made of veggies as my toss bouquet (broccoli has always reminded me of a bouquet, which is what made me think of this... I know it's nerdy and strange).
Has anyone seen food-related decorations at weddings before? If you saw something like the ideas I mentioned, would you think that's weird? Any other ideas? I definitely don't want anything tacky. TIA!
