Stuck

Cierra, on August 13, 2017 at 4:53 PM Posted in Planning 0 16

I'm stuck on what to do next. I have music and photographer and venues. The only thing I need next is the suits for the guys but I don't plan on doing that till around October. My wedding is next May. I have my officiant. Can someone please give me advice on what else to plan for? I've never even been in a wedding so I don't know what all goes into this.

I have officiant and rings but I don't have a florist but I'm thinking of just using fake flowers and doing it myself because we're on a tight budget.

I agree with the dress. Mine is on April and I just bought my dress yesterday. Also if your looking for a dj you can start looking for songs, look into invitation ideas, maybe some diys, stuff like that Smiley smile

If you're overwhelmed with wedding planning 9 months out, I would highly suggest you stay away from DIYing. It will only add to your stress.

    Caterer? Cake? Makeup artist? Hairstylist?

The best advice is to use the checklist offered by WW. You'll be able to add or remove items based on your preference.

What are your plans for food/alcohol? Catered meal and bar? Cake and punch?

Catering, cake, invitations, thank you notes, rings, bridal-party-stuff, gifts for bridal party, your own outfit, your partners outfit, your honey moon, how will you get there? Souvenirs to the guests, your "base camp" (where you get ready), rehearsal dinner, scheduling rehearsal dinner.

You might stay away from DIY not only because it's stressful, but also because it can be just as expensive as having pros do it.

Use the checklist here on WW.

Remember that your venue/ food/ booze should be about half of your entire budget, and plan accordingly.

Don't try to host more people than you can afford.
