String Quartet - Song Ideas

We are having a piano trio (piano, violin, cello) and this is the book that the violinist said is most popular ... But I'm not really a fan of the traditional songs sooo

We are using the Schumann pieces from this book ... Your string quartet should have a list of recommended songs though. I would say to take an evening and some wine and just listen to the ones you don't recognize

String quartet and pianist here! There is so much awesome repertoire for string quartet out there. You can often make requests of pop music you want and the musicians will find the music (check with them). Here are some ideas. Nice thing about string quartet is that nearly any genre works. Really, it's just up to you and what kind of music you want!

We did! We gave them a lot of leeway and just requested genres for the prelude and cocktail hour. We stayed more traditional during the ceremony and then more pop for cocktail hour.
