Stressed about Honeymoon!

Sharyse, on August 26, 2016 at 5:12 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 41

We are 21 days out from our wedding day and both of us have 2 weeks of vacation time already scheduled off. We have NO IDEA where we are going for our honeymoon!!! I'm the planner, he is not...but with all the wedding planning I haven't been able to focus much on solidifying plans for the honeymoon Smiley sad Can anyone offer any suggestions that would keep us in the under $2.5k range (not including flights) and be between 7-10 days? The sky's the limit as far as destination goes.

Thank you for any ideas!!! Smiley smile

Do you want to be at a beach? City? Cruise? International? You'll need to provide more information since we are strangers who know nothing about your likes.

Can you call a local travel agent?? We met one at a bridal fair who looked at our parameters, price range, and travel dates and emailed us options (free of charge). We are in the process of sifting through all of it!

I'm in Atlanta but I'm a flight attendant so literally we can go just about anywhere. Definitely want to leave the states. Love the beach! Main goal is to relax and sight see some place we probably will never go again. Looking for that once in a lifetime destination

Do an all inclusive vacation! My Mom and step dad went to the bahamas for 5 days for 2.3k including flights. Plus food and drink are usually the biggest expense on vacation.

Where are you located? Travel expenses hinge on that. (ETA: okay that got answered as I typed! It's pretty cool that you have many options with your career!)

Also too, look into different modes of transportation. It's different going somewhere by train than by plane, which gives it a certain flavor.

Do you want to do hotels? Or would you like Air BnBs/hostels? It depends on your mode of traveling and tastes since you can easily do a lot of things for that price depending on where you budget.

    Quebec?

For beach, maybe Italy/Tuscany if it's in the cards.

Hawaii might be nice since it'd be relaxing and you're surrounded by beaches and good food but you won't have to worry about currency exchange or necessary visas/customs since it's still part of the USA but feels pretty different from the mainland. Just a small thought for if you don't have time to plan and get those other things in order since you're so close to the date.

I suggest getting in touch with a travel agent! We're going to a Secrets resort in Rivera Maya Cancun for a week all inclusive. So with the two flights, hotel and free food and beverage and basically everything we are going for $3000. Since your wedding is so close your travel agent may be able to find you a good deal because a lot of flights will be cheaper because they want it to fill up. But definitely find a travel agent.... they plan it for you and it's such a relief!!!

We are a ways away from deciding honeymoon stuff, but we thought about checking Groupon to save money. Sometimes they have awesome international vacation packages!

Definitely check Groupon for vacation packages if flights aren't an issue. A friend of mine and her husband went to Costa Rica for a week $1,200 all inclusive (not with airfare)

Me and my FH are going on a cruise to the Caribbean and it was only about $1,000 - it's only five days long but you can choose shorter or longer cruises if you'd like(:
