Staying under budget

Felechia, on September 23, 2019 at 12:50 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 15
I spent the bulk of the expenses on the catering and the venue. The goal is to keep the budget under $4000. Lots and lots of sales, coupons, marketplace, Amazon and Wish!

That's good. I did the same for my wedding where pretty much the bulk of the money went to catering and venue and everything else I tried finding deals on

Yes, no need in going into debt. My bridesmaid said I should start a wedding budget and planning course.

We invited 75 people, however we decided to cater for 90 people just in case.

Oh the wedding is in March and that’s the goal. Gotcha. I’d recommend many spreadsheets haha. My fiancé is obsessed with spreadsheets and we have done an awesome job sticking to our budget. Not everything was exactly what we guessed, but what we went over in one area we have been able to save in another. So far we are right on target and most of the planning is done

Is the food budget $4000 or that’s everything? Dress, decor, venue, alcohol, etc etc etc?

Yes thats $4000 for the wedding and reception. I actually did a all of my own centerpieces and reception decor. The venue we chose supplies a coordinator and some wedding decor. It will be a small and intimate ceremony.

The Bestman is gifting the alchohol and bartender, but the caterer offers it for about $25 extra with the exception of having to buy alchohol.

We spent most of our money on the venue and catering as well. My dress cost less than the alcohol! In total I think we spent a bit more than you planning for 50, but it is hard! Congrats on the deal hunting.
