My FH and I are doing our best to spend time together, but also do our own thing. For us, that tends to be playing video games, or watching a show on TV.

Do any of you have any tips, tricks, or suggestions to stay sane during times where it might not be so easy?

My FH lives in England currently and I am worried so much. We talk every day and discuss the wedding plans a bit to try and make it seem like life is normal. But the worry is still there. We are doing facetime dates. Love always finds a way, right?

Oh wow! That must be hard, having him so far away. Are you in the US? I think you guys will be just fine. If you’ve gotten this far with that big of a distance, you can do anything Smiley smile

We both work in hospitals. So when our paths cross and we get time off together we enjoy our time. When I am home without him I often have my 9yo daughter to keep busy

Yes ma'am. I am currently in Florida. He left a week ago to return home to help his parents. And we are estimating 2 months before he can safely return. Thank you for the kind words. 🙂

Agree with spending time apart to have your own headspace. Im still working in my hospital with my FH home. He loves to run and hike or he’ll go in our guest room and do yoga when I’m working or sleeping. Together we have been trying out a lot of new recipes many times a week. Also lots of at home wedding planning - picking invites, working on guest lists, possible seating arrangements , having tons of fun picking and practicing first dance options Smiley smile. Overall staying positive respecting each other’s need to stay in tune with ourselves but also enjoying our time together.

We live together in a one bedroom, apartment, so "apart" time is relative. He's working from home and I'm doing school from home now. His desk is in our bedroom and mine's in the living room so it kind of feels like we're in different places. I have an online yoga membership and doing yoga (in the living room) helps me feel somewhat sane. He does online workouts (in the bedroom) sometimes. After typing that, I realized that we've basically just each created temporary separate spaces for ourselves, even though we still also share both of them.
I'm not sure if that will actually make sense to anyone else, but if it does, I would recommend it. It's going surprisingly well.

FH and I are both essential employee's so we get our distance and time apart still. When we are both home we do spend time together but we have always done our own thing during the day and come together in late afternoon to make dinner and then watch something on TV.
