Hi everyone! It's my first post on here so hopefully I do this right I just wanted to see if anyone has any ideas or could guide me in the right direction here... my fiance (Kyle) and I are doing a stars and moon themed wedding in October. I've got a nice long-sleeve lace ivory and beige dress...

Hi everyone! It's my first post on here so hopefully I do this right Smiley smile

I just wanted to see if anyone has any ideas or could guide me in the right direction here... my fiance (Kyle) and I are doing a stars and moon themed wedding in October. I've got a nice long-sleeve lace ivory and beige dress (I'll post a picture too), and I want to try to figure out how to incorporate stars and moons into my veil/headpiece. Sometimes stars and moons can be done in a tacky manner and I really want them to be subtle and sweet. Any ideas?!

I also was thinking of doing navy suits for my fiance and his groomsmen, but would that look good? I bought the dress yesterday and I'm having cold feet about it, even though I loved it when I saw it. Just wondering if I'm going in the right direction here. Any help or ideas are endlessly appreciated!

Your dress looks great on you.

I don't think you need stars and moons in your veil. Maybe include them in your centerpieces or something like that.

Zaz has the right idea...that's why she has 5 stars LOL Justine as well. I think a simple ivory tented veil with that under will look stunning and keep with your theme.

I like those hanging stars. You could also do some decorations with water beads and pearls. Google it and you'll find some pretty cool examples. I'm on the app and can't post links, but with clear water beads, it looks like your pearls (stars and moons) are just floating suspended in the vase.

Dress is beautiful and I agree with some subtle sparkle added to your veil.

I saw someone on here posted a dance floor effect they were splurging on. I could be wrong, but it looked like they were in outer space surrounded by stars. Try looking into something like that?

I would say no to adding moons or stars to the veil itself but, some crystals in the veil would look nice. If you find a pretty hair piece or some jewelry, that could work too.

How theatrical do you want to go? Because there are some badass crowns/circlets on etsy.

I didn't have access to these last night, so here's an example of what I tried to describe. The first picture is what I had in my hair. The second is with my veil on. Obviously, I didn't do stars, but the same principle applies! :-)

I love the paper stars idea! I'm thinking of getting some for super cheap off amazon and putting little battery-powered candles in them to hang from the ceiling!

Also I'm thinking hair pins as suggested instead of stars in the veil, it would be too much for sure!

Keisha - it's actually a prom dress by Jovani! My biggest takeaway from this experience is that weddings are expensive and so are dresses so if you can find something for much cheaper that you love, go for it! Prom stores are where it's at! Takes a bit of digging to find what you like, but it can happen!

Zaz - those are BEAUTIFUL, you're beautiful!!
