Ok, pleeeeeease tell me I'm not the only one freaking out because I'll be so nervous at the altar (really hate all eyes on me) and I'm afraid I'll be too shaky to put my fiance's ring on his finger, or have him put on mine for that matter!! Yikes....lol I'm praying that doesn't happen but I keep...

I'm praying that doesn't happen but I keep getting this vision in my head that I'll be a FUMBLING MESS dropping his ring and lookin all a fool!!! :+/

Words of wisdom?? Please don't say drink (I haven't had a drink in 18 years!! Lol) and it'll be a MIRACLE if I see #19 at this rate (just a sippy sip??!!!) LOL

I HATE the lime light! The priest actually said take his right hand and I was so nervous I took his left. I felt like an idiot but it made everyone laugh and it makes for memories. Everything will be okay! Smiley smile

Same here! My palms are always sweaty too, especially if I'm holding something (like my bouquet) . I keep picturing myself walking down the aisle crying uncontrollably and sweat dripping from my palms. Yay....

My husband and I were nervous about this too, but we were both so calm when we were finally up there. It was actually pretty peaceful listening to our officiant and reader and saying our vows to each other. Sounds corny, but try to just focus on your FH and the comfort you normally feel between you.

Yeah. I even have a degree in theater arts, I act...but having to be me in front of a lot of people that I know and love and actually give a shit about freaks me out.

I'm the same way. As soon as I was able to see my husband, I focused totally on him and blocked everyone else out. Walking down the aisle, I didn't "see" anyone else. The room could have been completely empty for all I knew. Just "laser" focus on you SO and you'll do great Smiley smile.

Dropping the ring would be cute-awkward. My concern is being horrible-awkward and having a panic attack, which for me would look like a lot of fidgeting, unable to stand still, hard time talking, and sweating. I want to believe that I'll be right in my element and do fine, though.

I remind my couples to breathe and not lock their knees, let them hold hands, put my hand on their arms to keep them from swaying, give them only 4-5 words at a time to repeat after me, etc.

I've had a guest faint, but never a bride or groom!

I had sooo much anxiety. I was sick over it all night the night before and all day until the ceremony was over. Luckily, I was very comfortable with the preacher who officiated, so I just locked in on him and DH, and I had no idea what was going on with anyone else present. Once the ceremony was over, everything was fine!

Never ever thought to be nervous until we got to the ceremony and then I started to freak out. But once I walked down the aisle and saw him standing there? There wasn't anything else to think about.

I am a butterfinger/clutz on the regular, even when I'm not nervous. Definitely spend the time before the ceremony to unwind. Enjoy the company of your bridal party and family and try to keep away any people/things/information that is stressful. A DOC will help with this so no one is coming to you with any problems/questions. Avoid caffeine or you may be even more jittery. Being rested and well fed helps a lot too that way you don't have extra stress from being tired or hungry. Are you doing a first look? I've heard a lot of brides say this helps calm their nerves as well.

Glad to know so many people are just like me and made it through. I'm really really shy and I hate to be in the center of attention. I keep picturing myself falling because of really high heels. To make things worse, my fiance wants to do the money dance.. =/

I am not too worried about fumbling with rings. I am worried about speaking. I am TERRIBLE at public speaking. I couldn't make it through my whole MOH speech without tearing up and having another bm finish it at my best friends wedding. I am terrified I wont be able to make it through vows, even simple ones! I get a little anxious in front of crowds so I am hoping I can at least handle looking at people and appreciate their presence without fainting haha

Same here so nervous about having to stand up there in front of everyone and speaking I always hated speeches and presentations back in school but maybe it won't be bad since it's my family and friends
