So ladies, I have another question for ya. What is a Stag n' Drag? I have never heard of it, but the MIL wants to throw one for the FH and I. I'm guessing it's more of a northern thing, as I have never heard of it. Has anyone ever been to one? If so, is it like a bridal shower for both the...

I know this is an old post but I wanted to reply so if there's another bride out there like me the other replies don't make you feel bad.

I am from Erie, PA and for as long as i can remember i have been going to stag and drags. some people do them with the intention to raise a lot or most of their wedding money but nowadays a lot of couple/bridal parties have them out of tradition. It is very localized to this area. If you go 30 miles out of Erie, people will not know what you're talking about if you bring up and stag n drag.

I personally did not want to have one for my wedding. I didn't need the money. I didn't want the extra work. I didn't want to have to organize it.

However, almost every person, once they found out i was engaged, asked me when my stag was gonna be. And most were taken aback when i told them i wasn't having one and some people were outright sad/disappointed about it.

The majority of my bridal party wanted to have one, but ultimately left it up to me.

After lots of consideration i decided to have one and sooooo many people were excited.

    Eventually i became excited too.

So don't let those haters get you down if you're having a stag. Have fun and be married!
