St Lucia in October

I know it will be toward the end of hurricane season so we run the risk of bad weather. But we chose st lucia as it was at the bottom of hurricane alley. Travel agent applied trip insurance so we can reschedule if needed.

But I can't take off of work in the months of November or December (in sales and that's crunch time. A big NoNo).

If we did have to reschedule it would be January. But we are already scheduled for a work trip in January to key west.

Timing wise, it's the only window we have. But now I'm worried about the location. If we can't control the weather (obviously lol)

Has anyone else gone to st lucia in October? How was the weather? How was the trip?
