We are 5/22/21 in Phoenixville with 135 guests and outdoor ceremony/cocktail hour but indoor reception. At 25% capacity our guest list would fit inside, but I don’t want people to feel pressured to attend if large events are still frowned upon or if the cases are still spreading this badly. We also don’t want masks to be required when not seated. So with those factors we’ll decide in early March if we’ll postpone to 2022. I wouldn’t want to push to the fall and risk having to postpone again.

Ours is April 11, 2021. I know in our contract we get a refund, but I have no idea if we can cancel by choice. Do you know if they are currently still doing weddings? If we have to cancel we are eloping. 😝

We can definitely cancel by choice, because they’ve asked me if I wanted to cancel multiple times already lol. We already got married on our original date, but are still hoping to do all the normal wedding things and have our reception in March 🤞🏼 I’m not sure if they’re still currently doing weddings or not. They did tell me I could do a ceremony only package or just have how ever many people the current guidelines say, so I’m guessing they’re still having stuff!

Wow! Yes we are in the exact same boat! We are with a JAM venue as well. Luckily our ceremony is outside, reception is in a pavilion type room so can be considered outdoors, so we would only adjust our cocktail hour to be entirely outdoors. We are riding out the next month, and then will decide what to do February 7th. As of today, we have not paid a single penny more toward catering even though it was due. JAM has been more helpful more recently but not without us reaching out to them first and feeling uneasy with the venue/catering and all decisions thus far. They’ve been a bit on the defense rather than being helpful but I think we had a break through today after talking with a different JAM representative- she was actually super helpful and ready to work with us through this. So that’s a light in the dark tunnel we’ve been unraveling through.

Our original date was May 29, 2021 and we are trying to push it back to Sept or Nov in hopes for the vaccine to reach a majority of the public/ herd immunity. Good luck, ladies!

I love Terrain! The main restrictions are in center city (not the sounding suburbs). Our venue has not opened since March 2020. Many of the large venues in the city never opened, because they were restricted to 50ppl and that included all vendors. We’ve looked at a few options more local in a Chester County and they all can do 100-150 outdoors. You should be good!

    Omg! John James Audubon Center?
We were originally August 28th 2020 and rescheduled to April 2021 so we are rolling with it at this point whatever it looks like although I wouldn’t expect we will be legally able to surpass the catering minimum (roughly comes out to 100 people)
We have our planning appt in two weeks and I found out today that during the better points of the summer when case counts were lower between the pavilion with all the windows up and a tent alongside of it they were able to have capacity of 96 people Things can be totally different in April and then of course in May but I felt like there was some potential and at this point I would be thrilled to be in that ballpark *fingers crossed*

I feel for all of you! My wedding is scheduled for May 30, 2021 and we are not able to cancel either (in contract), only allowed to postpone if the venue is shut down and it’s been operating at varying levels of capacity and restrictions for a while now (it’s in a Philly suburb). May just need to downsize a bit and wear masks when indoors and pray it doesn’t rain for the outside option. Keeping my fingers crossed we can hold the wedding and keep everyone safe while doing so!

YESSS!! Wow were twin souls! Hope you and your fiancé are surviving on the frontlines still! I think your 100% right and all we can do now is to just roll with it and see what happens. We haven’t had a tasting or planning or anything like that yet but I would think it’s coming up soon!

Yes we are! My (now husband) and I ended up having a small backyard wedding in July after postponing from May, just to finally be married since we're both 33. We only had the wedding party and immediate family attend. Unfortunately we can't get out of all the money with the venue and vendors, so we're moving forward with this May 29th no matter what the circumstances will be. We are considering asking everyone who attends to get a covid test done the week of and send the results to our wedding coordinator, so everyone feels safe. Fingers crossed it will work out for us all!

Hope you are doing ok too!
All good stuff ahead-I think we did the tasting about 4 months before our original date so yours should be soon-they delivered everything to our house-not sure what they are doing now. Either way it’s something to look forward to!

My wedding was postponed to end end of May 2021 in Philadelphia. We are going to reach out to our venue at the end of the month to look at our options and decide from there.

We postponed from 11/20 to 5/8/21. We’re waiting until the end of the month to reassess and possibly push again.
