Spousal Support After 4 Days Of Marriage?

The Bride, on August 18, 2019 at 2:33 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 12
Nicolas Cage's ex wife Erika Koike is demanding spousal support after Nicolas filed for an annulment of their marriage due to him being "too drunk" to tie the knot and not knowing about Erika's criminal history.

Does Erika deserve spousal support after four days of marriage? Why or why not?

Good luck with that! </sarcasm> These days, permanent spousal support (alimony) is almost never granted, regardless of the duration of the marriage. At most, temporary support is granted for a spouse who has been out of the work force for a long time (e.g., while caring for children), to enable that person to get training for a new career.

For the record, Cage didn't get the annulment. But they got divorced after three months.

It’s an annulment not a divorce so she wouldn’t be entitled to spousal support at all.

I read that she claimed to lose jobs and money that's why she needed spousal support.

2d Bride said there was no annulment and they actually got divorced after 3 months.
That's not what I read but it adds more context to the story.

I seriously doubt that this happened due to the marriage, though. More likely due to relationship choices she made before that. Four days is not enough time to interfere with your career.

I completely agree. I personally think she's just yry to "milk" this "marriage" because he has money.
