Sports Jersey Guestbook

So someone else on here did this... had a custom jersey made for their guests to sign. I thought this was a grand idea, and would be great to surprise FH with a Maple Leafs jersey with Gilbert, 2 (because we'll be 2 Gilberts, get it?) on the back. I found a place that'll do it, and was about to buy it, when I thought I should probably check out who wore #2 for the Leafs. Well, I look, and I'm glad I did, because it happened to be a player who recently committed suicide. FH is uber sensitive to even the word suicide, following his uncle's death last year. So obviously that isn't going to work. Any other ideas instead of using 2, which is obviously off the table? I'm kind of bummed about it now, but very glad I looked it up. (And yes, he would recognize the number as the dead player).
