Sports bra tan lines help

Kristen, on October 5, 2020 at 5:11 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 19

This is like my 4th post of today so my apologies. I walk my dog in the evenings and sometimes twice on the weekend. I often just wear a sports bra and my dress is off shoulder so front and back you see the tan lines. I can try to avoid the sun to walk her but I worry just wearing a t shirt will create a farmers tan. I am about one month out. Any advice esp if you are a bride of color?

I use Fenty's body lava to give my skin a glowly even tone. I would maybe even take a beach trip (if you live near a beach) to get everything evened out.

I am not a person of color so not sure if this will help. I have Tinea Versicolor which make my skin splotchy. I’m the past I’ve used lotion with self tanner in it, not actual self tanner. It helped even out my skin tone slowly. I wanna say it took a few weeks. (I used store brand and it worked just fine)

Crap that is $60 ha ha ha. I do live near the beach but a month out I am going to have to gauge when I go because I am trying to avoid strangers to stay healthy and safe. Worse case I have my backyard ha ha ha. Yeah I was thinking some time in the sun but strapless.

Hmmmm that is not a bad idea. I am hoping I can fade it within a month.

I’ve been wearing crew neck shirts just so I don’t run into this problem lol
Many black women do tan to even their tone, maybe that’s an option as well.

LOL yes yes true true. I am waiting until sundown to take her (thank God day lights saving time but I did protect my face and exposed area because I am wearing a sleeveless dress.

Yeah I was thinking a longer sleeve shirt (which in Florida sucks because we get like random one day of winter ha ha) just to avoid. I think I need to combine all these ideas. Thank you.

I would also advise covering up on your walks so the tan lines eventually just go away. It may be hot, but hopefully it’ll help them fade!

I am also going to walk her when it is less sunny out too. Luckily with day light savings time makes it easier except in the morning if I sleep in ha ha

I know you're in Tampa.... how about wearing a shear long sleeves to keep the sun at bay? I used to do that when I lived there.

Also as some have mentioned maybe a self tanner, or even a tanning booth to even out?

As much as I do not do tanning booths I was considering that. My gym ironically has one and I have that in my package lol.

I'm with you, had ours been open, I would've been there. My summer tan has fully faded, I'm hoping the sun will be out the next couple days to bronze me up.

I would. That’s what I did basically to get my Apple Watch tan lines to disappear. I lathered the wrist with accelerant and put spf everywhere else. LOL. Did that with strap marks too after a weekend at the beach over the summer. Worked great, gotta love Australian Gold! 😀
