We are getting artificial flowers, which are cheaper than real flowers. I would also feel bad throwing away all those real flowers Smiley sad

Flowers are a splurge area for me. I love the looks of them, and I think it's worth the money to have quality arrangements. My florist is a family friend who owns a flower shop and has been in the business for 20+ years. She is allowing me to purchase the pumpkins, candles, and candle holders for my wedding which is a cost savings, so more money can go towards the actual flowers.

Flowers were not in the splurge category for us. We are using sola flowers for the bouquets and boutonnieres.

Probably my biggest splurge, almost all of our decorations will be flowers/plants.

My biggest expense after the catering and venue. The one thing I kept second thinking. The ended up being perfectly beautiful.

Neither? We had a budget for them. I didn't go all out, but I didn't scrimp.

Because most of our decorations will be floral arrangements, I'll be spending a little more money here.

Flowers were low on our priority list. We are aren't splurging on them at all.

Sort of both. I'm saving compared to most people's floral budget but, I splurged based on what I originally budgeted. I'm doing all my own DIY florals using Sola Wood flowers and caught an excellent sale (50% off) but, I didn't factor in the exchange rate or shipping charges (which were over $100 on their own). Yikes! Overall, I'm happy and know we saved a ton of money compared to getting real ones and as a bonus, I get to keep them when the wedding is over.

Daughter is getting exactly what she wanted, but because she really shopped around the vendor she selected is $1000 less that her next lowest estimate (for the exact same, if not better, quantity & quality of products). We've found that with most things. She's been clear on what she wants, but then has done her homework to get it for the most reasonable price.

I am still unsure about this. I don't plan on having an flower centerpieces, but I am am unsure if my color scheme (for my bouquet and such) will look nice if I choose to do artificial or silk flowers. We are on a tighter budget so I may end up going artificial all together.

This was more of a "save" for us. I allowed a decent budget for this, and stayed within budget, but had to be creative to do so. I decided to use garlands so that I could use them both during the ceremony and then repurpose them for the reception centerpieces. There were so many other things I wanted, though, so I had to hold myself back here.

SAVE we went with silk real feel flowers. Couldn't justify spending $2,000 on something that DIES! All of the bouquets will be faux but all of the greenery on the tables will be real.

I’ve actually decided to do a flower-less wedding. No flowers at all. No bouquets, no flowers in centerpieces, none. Quite frankly, I don’t like flowers and couldn’t bring myself to spend a lot of money on something I don’t like. We replaced flowers in our centerpieces with tulle bows and I’m currently researching something clever for my toss bouquet. So I’m saving by not having them.

Save! We found out that the florist at our local grocery store actually owned her own flower shop for 25 years before retiring her business. So we're getting expensive looking flowers for grocery store prices Smiley smile

Thankfully our florist comes with our package but we will need to add a few extras in this area!

I'm in the middle on this one. Our flower bill is just under $1000 but we got everything we needed and wanted. We didn't go crazy with full blown floral arbors and extravagant centerpieces. We went simple.

Honestly, neither. We don't need or want much in the way of florals, so we're getting everything we want and it will only be $400.

We are ordering our flowers through Global Rose. It's so affordable and they look amazing.

We sort of saved by having the ceremony in a location that didn't need a ton of extra decoration. We also didn't have very many tables since the wedding was smaller.

But we did real floral bouquets/bouts, centerpieces, "alter" pieces, aisle decor, and cake decorations. They weren't over the top, but they also weren't small and simple.

We also did charger plates, colored napkins, cocktail table decor, and upgraded chairs for everyone, with upgraded linens on certain special tables.

Floral/decor was definitely one of our bigger ticket items, which was not what I thought would happen when we first started planning. We wound up with a surplus at the end, and most of that surplus went to floral/decor.
