Krystal R., I think the standard is one per room. I have some families of 4-6, so I will probably have my mom bring them extra bottles of water. You definitely don't need to do one per person though.

Also if you have Costco or Sams Club membership that may be cheaper for sone of it!

I am getting married on a cruise so I packed a few essentials in the Welcome Bag. I have some rooms with 4 people so I did make 4 per room but each room only received one deck of cards and do not disturb door hanger.

These are just a few of the sites that I have pinned on Pinterest for this topic alone. I am undecided if I am going to do welcome bags or not, but am prepared with ideas if I do.
