Special Engagement Pic Dress - Help!

Hi everyone! You guys are so beyond helpful and I’m freaking out a bit so I’m turning to you all for help! My grandfather is very sick with a terminal illness. He’s been in the hospital since last Monday and has declined rapidly. Unfortunately, I don’t think he’s going to make it to my wedding next October. My fiancé and I are having engagement pictures done next Saturday (October 19th) and I planned with my photographer to take pictures with my grandfather in a white dress so we have pictures in the event he does not make it to my wedding. I’ll be surprising my mom and aunt with these photos. I have no idea what kind of dress to wear!!! My engagement pics I’ll be wearing jeans and a white top so this is a total outfit change! I want to look bridal but not like a wedding dress. Was thinking long sleeve maxi dress. Any recommendations?! Thanks in advance!

I like the maxi dress idea. Have you shopped around or looked around. Anyhting you pick will be fine! And God Bless your Grandfather and family!

I'll be wearing this one for mine with a blue blanket scarf. I thought it was bridal, but not over the top. I'm really sorry about your grandpa, I'll keep you in my thoughts.

This is such a sweet idea.
I went on ASOS to gather some dress/outfit inspiration for you. What do you think of the below ideas? Would they be your style?
A white shirt dress you can wear white sneakers, boots, or sandals. If it’s chilly, you could pop on a pair of tights. Shirt are very chic, they give me all the Meghan Markle vibes! The look ages really well also.
What about a sweater dress? You could dress it up with a pair of heels, or down with some tights and knee high boots.
Lastly we have a white halter dress with buckle and button details. This is slightly more dressy and looks bridal without being a wedding dress.
Do you like any of these outfit ideas?
