To do for our reception exit . LMAO And before somebody ask , we are allowed both at venue as long as it's outside 50 feet from building .

@Janeen : yes real overhead fireworks ! I didn't know they had any fake fireworks . LOL

My other concern is when would I do the fireworks ? Midnight or 2am That would be weird to ask my guest to go outside at 11:55pm at night to watch it.

I'm talking about someone who knows what they're doing lighting them off, aimed properly and everything. Not a drunken guest who rigs up some bottle rockets lol. if you have the former, I would definitely do that.

LOL please no drunk fireworks . I been calling around to get quotes and it would be a little cheaper than sparklers . My venue has a lot of open land behind it and they mentioned we can do it out there away from the building.

Well there is a huge cost difference between these, but if fireworks are in your budget- go for it!! Sparklers make nice photos but are pretty expected.

Fireworks would be cool. But do you know if you would need a permit? Also it seems like doing it at midnight or 2am would violate the local noise ordinance.

@NYE Bride I would do fireworks at 2am..... bring in the NY on the dance floor. It would be too much to get them outside, then back in.

ETA: Sparklers will definitely be less expensive than fireworks.

    It's NYE, do both!

ETA: Not sure how your venue is, but would you be allowed to do fireworks at 2AM. I'm thinking noise...?

Giant cost for fireworks, venue liability for sparklers. Before you do anything, check $$ and possibilities.

@Natalie: Not sure about the permit will have to ask venue . But she never mentioned anything about us needing a permit since they own the land we would do it on.

If we did it at midnight I'm 100% sure a lot of other people will be doing it as well.
