Southeast Michigan Reception. Help!

I am looking for a reception venue in Southeast Michigan that has a "nature" or "garden" feel. (My fiance and I are both biologists) I am NOT looking for a "barn" or "country" wedding. (I grew up on a farm and am over being surrounded by barns haha).

Fiance is from Monroe, I am from Ann Arbor. I am trying to find a reception venue that won't be too far north a drive for his family.

If there are any offbeat or unique venues that aren't on normal wedding websites, or if you have any phenomenal reviews of areas in the Ann Arbor area, please share! I have no idea where to start!

    I'm from Metro Detroit, I'm not familiar with Monroe and Ann Arbor. I would try using the vendor search on this site and see if that helps.

    Barns were really hard for me to find... They are popular but limited. I wanted the same thing but our venue is at a equestrian center with a glass atrium. Try looking up equestrian centers, mansions, and parks. If you expand your search beyond barns you may find more options

    West Bloomfield has a gorgeous conservatory (called Planterra) , which would seem like an appropriate choice for you guys. However, West Bloomfield might be too far for you. I would see if you have any in your area.

    Just FYI. They only allow ceremonies after 5:30. Or it may be 6
