So FH mentioned to me just a little bit ago that he was thinking that he may want to have his dad as a groomsmen. It was news to me that he hasn't even asked the guys who he wants to be his groomsmen if they'd like to do it yet. BUT is this common? I've never heard of the groomsdad being a best man...

I've never heard of the groomsdad being a best man or groomsmen i always thought mother/father of the groom had their own role in a wedding.

My FH's stepdad is a groomsmen. They're close so why not?

FH's BM is his dad. I've been to a lot of weddings that parents are in the bridal party.
