I think all of those things are really personal preference. If you don't want to do white, a blush or peach could be really beautiful for a summer ceremony. You could do long or short, but short may be more comfortable since it will be August. I've heard that Lulus has tons of options.

I think a maxi dress with a floral pattern would be nice! I don't really like white either tbh. If you wanted to keep a traditional flare you could have the floral base be white with lots of colors of flowers, or not at all! Really it's whatever you want! Take someone you love to one of your favorite stores and see what inspires you!
