Yeah i had trouble. i ended up just asking my DJ for the suggestions for some.

i would suggest thinking of any significant songs in your relationship or life that can be applicable to those things

Music is one of my biggest projects right now since we aren’t having a DJ and just hiking up a playlist while people eat. I’ve looked through so many lists of song suggestions online, they have them for each party of the wedding if you just need some more inspiration. I totally understand having a hard time finding songs for each “event,” I’ve been backtracking to what was popular when we first met, when we moved in together, etc trying to find songs that would also remind us of those milestones I guess. I don’t know, 28 days to go and my brain is frazzled with all the things left to do!!!

We had a really hard time picking what we wanted to walk back up the aisle to. For the reception (other than first dance and parents dance) we asked our DJ to just play music that will get people dancing

We didn't really have that much trouble. I'm just indecisive from the pool of songs we had picked lol. We've decided on my walk, our exit and first dance. Still need one for the wedding party, cake cutting and grand entrance. We've decided against doing parent dances, bouquet and garter toss. If you're still having trouble, try THIS. First you could start with genre. Do you want to walk down the aisle to a pop song or a classical piece? Do you want a mix, such as an acoustic version of a pop song (with or without voice)?

Are you having the ceremony in a church? They may have religious restrictions so ask what you are allowed to use.


Otherwise, pick songs you love. Favorite soundtracks, songs that have meaning to you. Browse Youtube for ideas.

My mother is in charge of our playlist. My choice, she is known for her playlist and is really great at picking the right songs and speed. She has a 6 hour playlist and is trying to par it down. Watch out for songs that aren't actually love songs. I can suggest some if you would like. I am most excited for the party and mom's playlist.
