My father and I are not close, he was always there but he wasn’t the best father. I have no clue what song to dance with him to. I honestly don’t even want to, but I definitely want to do a special dance with my grandfather who means a lot to me and I don’t want to hurt my dad’s feelings so I’ll be doing a dance with him too. I have no clue where to even start searching for songs with those situations in mind lol... Any suggestions?

I asked my dad to choose a couple songs himself to avoid the task. I will be reviewing and ultimately choosing the one we dance to, but it took the pressure off. So far it seems we will be dancing to Fleetwood Mac's Songbird.

Is there any music that makes you think of him, or that you used to listen to together? I danced with my dad to a James Taylor song (because there was lots of James Taylor in my childhood!), and one of my friends danced with her dad to a song by The Eagles! 🎵
You can keep it fun and more upbeat, and you can fade the song out early instead of dancing to the whole thing!

My dad and I didn't have the closest relationship and we danced to My Old Man by the Zac Brown Band.
