My fiancee is punk and I am goth. We're both hardcore geeks. We're doing a cosplay/Halloween/very non-traditional wedding and will be Victorian Gothic Steampunk style. I am at a loss for music. I told my fiancee I want to feel like an punk rock Disney princess coming down the aisle and find a song that embraces my uniqueness. I want our other ceremony songs to capture who we are as people, not just generic love songs. For suggestions we hate pop music, but love metal, punk, industrial/experimental, and EDM. We actually like just about every genre of rock lol. Favorite artists are Breaking Benjamin, Disturbed, Korn, Slipknot, Five Finger Death Punch, In This Moment, Halestorm, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Skrillex, and, Deadmau5, and tons of other underground artists that no one has ever heard of. We are thinking of doing Phantom of the Opera songs for the prelude and This is Halloween by Manson as our grand march. Any help is greatly welcome and appreciated. Smiley smile

Look up Breaking Benjamin's cover of "Who Wants To Live Forever" if you haven't heard it already it's such a beautiful song. I also LOVE their song "Ashes of Eden".

"There is A Light That Never Goes Out" by The Smiths (one of my favs). "Sound of Silence" by Disturbed is pretty. Maybe some instrumentals from Nightmare Before Christmas/other Tim Burton movies. I also did like the others comments about Phantom, maybe "All I Ask of You" or the Lana Del Rey's "Once Upon A Dream" is eerie yet romantic.

We had a Halloween-ish wedding. We had traditional music for the ceremony but the reception we had a variety of music. Pretty much anything from disco to metal was played. Our BP came out to "Thunder Kiss 65" by White Zombie. DH and I came out "Party Hard" by Andrew W.K. Our first dance was "Here For You" by Ozzy.

We went for more classic punk songs like The Clash, Ramones, and some 80's underground like Talking Heads (Road to Nowhere), and The Smiths. There are plenty of more popular metal, punk, and rock songs that people will know! We also had a band that played rockabilly and ska. Everyone likes to dance to two-tone and Johnny Cash. The we added in classic songs like Stand By Me (parent's dance) and Sugar Pie Honey Bunch (cutting cake).
