Ok, so I'm having a horrible time finding songs for the Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances. My FH and I are VERY alternative and can't seem to find any songs we like. I have seen many suggestions for "alternative" songs, but those all seem to be classic rock, which is fine, but we wanted something more current. For example, our first dance song is by Coheed and Cambria. I don't know who on here knows them or not, but we want music from bands like that. I know a lot of slow songs from our favorite bands, but none seem to "fit" lyric-wise. This is harder than I thought :/

Bump! We are having troubles finding a good father/daughter song also. It seems like everything I find that would fit me and my dad sounds really country, and I'm not a big fan of country.

I think the best thing I could think of you is Deathcab for Cutie, but probably too mainstream for you now too. What about using a song that you really like but just the instrumental version of it?

Thanks for the suggestions!! I'll ask FH if he has any idea what he wants and hopefully he has something picked out. Haha I LOVE Death Cab for Cutie, but I thought most of their songs were too depressing for a wedding. NOT that I care, but I don't want my guests to be like, "WTH?!?!" lol
