You’re daughter and FH are doing a spotlight dance? A bit unconventional spotlight dances are super boring for your guests why doesn’t your daughter just ask him to dance later into the event while other guests are dancing too no one once to sit around and watch the whole family do individual dancing.

Maybe try googling “groom step daughter dance”. I’m sure you’ll find many wedding forums that discuss this, including ones here on WW from the past. They could also dance to just one of your daughter’s favorite songs, even if the lyrics are unrelated to father - daughter relationship.
By the way, this is a very sweet idea & if they want to dance together, they should go for it! Don’t get discouraged by some negative comments, like pp.
